I was going to purchase a 3.5 cubit feet freezer, but when I saw this one on sale on Amazon, I decided to go with its bigger size, 5 cubit feet. It's a perfect size. The 3.5 size would have been tiny. This freezer is practically silent and weighs almost nothing. It keeps everything frozen at the minimum recommended level. And it's one of the few freezers available with Energy Star rating, and Amazon offered it with free shipping.

Haier products are little more than the worst of the Chinese infiltration of the American economy. They make (badly) things that break down, then they refuse to honor their warranties.
AVOID THIS COMPANY. AVOID THIS PRODUCT.
